Libya: Six Tunisians killed or injured in an accident in then port of Zawiya
The Libyan Ports and Maritime Transport Authority confirmed, on Friday, that six Tunisians were killed or injured in an accident at the Zawiya oil port.
The authority added in a statement: “A painful accident occurred when a reservoir was separated from a connection point to the Al-Buri marine field, which led to the deaths and injuries of six people, all of whom are of Tunisian nationality.”
The Authority explained that it had received a report from the director of the Zawiya oil port that the incident occurred at approximately 14:30, in the Al-Buri offshore field.
The statement did not specify the number of dead and the number of injured, but indicated that the authorities assigned a committee to investigate the incident.
