Central market for marketing agricultural products opened in Taiz
The Supreme Political Council’s Member Sultan Al-Sami’e, Taiz Governor Salah Bajash, and Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation – Deputy Head of the Higher Agricultural and Fisheries Committee, Dr. Radwan Al-Rubai, opened on Saturday Taiz central market for marketing agricultural products.
The market, which costs 3,029,000,000 riyals and is established on an area of 120,000 square meters, was financed and implemented by the Yemeni Economic Corporation in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and the Higher Agricultural and Fisheries Committee.
At the opening, Al-Sami’e said that the opening of a central market of this size and cost establishes an infrastructure that supports various development projects.
He explained that these successes on the field came within the framework of the directives of Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi in paying attention to sustainable development projects.
In turn, the Governor of Taiz province considered the Taiz central market one of the giant projects that would contribute to agricultural encouragement and bring about a renaissance in the manufacturing industries.
For his part, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation confirmed that opening the market represents one of the most important investment projects that would benefit development in general and the agricultural sector in particular.
