More than 538 Americans killed in 2021 due to climate change

Weather fluctuations and climate change in the United States have killed more than 538 Americans this year, the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has revealed.

On Tuesday, the US Agency said the disasters had caused losses estimated at more than $100 billion so far in 2021.

During the first nine months of 2021, the US had already faced 18 disasters, each costing more than $1 billion.

This is the seventh year in a row that the United States has experienced more than 10 disasters, with losses estimating more than $1 billion.

According to the Washington Post, in recent years, these events have come in increasingly close succession, not enough time for the country to recover.
