Civilian shot dead by gunmen in Hadramout
A citizen was killed by unidentified gunmen in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen, on Thursday.
Local sources said that the citizen, Turki bin Talib Al-Kathiri, was shot dead by gunmen riding a motorcycle in the ‘Wadi bin Ali’ area in Shibam Hadramout district.
The gunmen fled to an unknown destination after shooting Al-Kathiri, the sources added, considering this murder an extension of the chaos and insecurity in the Hadramout valley districts, which are under the control of the “First Military Region” affiliated with Islah Party loyal to the Saudi-led coalition.
This comes at a time when the UAE-backed “Southern Transitional Council” is demanding the deployment of the “Hadrami Elite” militia in the Hadramout Valley districts, and the removal of Islah militants.
