Torrential rains cause floods in Mukalla
Floods swept through the city of Mukalla, the center of Hadhramaut province in eastern Yemen, as a result of Tropical Cyclone Shaheen.
Local sources said the torrential rains caused extensive damage to many houses and swept away more than 20 cars in the city’s neighborhoods.
The people rescued an entire family after their car was swept away by torrential rains, they added.
They pointed out that the floods caused power outages, road closures and the siege of the city’s neighborhoods, in the absence of a complete role of the local authority.
