SCMCHA condemns murder of MSF’s employee in Lahj
The Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (SCMCHA) has condemned the murder of a Yemeni employee working for Doctors Without Borders (MSF).
Atef al-Harazi, the employee at the MSF, was shot dead by armed men loyal to the aggression coalition in Lahj province.
In a statement, the SCMCHA denounced the silence of the United Nations towards the killings and grave violations of international humanitarian law and human rights in the occupied territories of Yemen.
It called on the United Nations and international organizations to assume humanitarian and moral responsibility for what is happening and work to open Sana’a airport, lift the siege and stop the aggression.
The SCMCHA called for a prompt, transparent, and comprehensive investigation into the killing of al-Harazi who was working in the humanitarian field.
