Yemen Center condemns attacks on peaceful demonstrators in occupied territories

The Yemen Center for Human Rights condemned on Sunday the attacks by armed militias, affiliated with the forces of the aggression coalition, on peaceful demonstrators in the occupied areas.

The center indicated, in a statement received by Saba, that the militias affiliated with the UAE, called the “Hadrami Elite” and the “Transitional Council Forces”, fired live bullets at civilians in the city of Mukalla.

He pointed out to dozens of casualties and hundreds of residents of Hadhramaut province have been arrested during the past two years, many of whom were tortured in detention centers run by Emirati forces.

The statement also touched on the killing and injuring of dozens of people with live bullets during the past two days in Aden, and the danger threatening the people of the governorate after the so-called “Aidarous Al-Zubaidi” declared what he called a “state of emergency”, to end the protests.

The statement dealt with the violations that the protesters were subjected to in the city of Taiz, and the districts under occupation, from repression and live bullets by the militias backed by Saudi Arabia.
