Strong earthquake strikes western region of Iran
A strong earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale hit the western region of Iran on Monday.
According to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 13 kilometers, at a latitude (32.35 north) and longitude (49.80 east).
The center confirmed that the epicenter of the earthquake struck 99 kilometers west of Shahr-e-Kord, southwest of Isfahan, and 66 kilometers north-east of the city of Suleiman Mosque.
