US plans to hold global summit to combat Covid-19

The United States plans to hold a global summit to combat the Covid-19 pandemic on September 22, The Washington Post reported that

“At the upcoming summit, President Biden will invite heads of state, governments and international organizations, entrepreneurs, humanitarian organizations and NGOs to unite to end the COVID-19 pandemic,” the US administration said in a statement.

Earlier,  the US media reported that Joe Biden planned to hold a global anti-Covid-19 summit as soon as possible, the event could take place at the end of September, and the summit is likely to be held via video conferencing.

The summit is planned to devote response measures to the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as to global efforts to vaccinate against COVID-19, the Politico reported, citing informed sources.
