President Al-Mashat: Increasing Suffering of Yemeni People Due to Continued US-Saudi Aggression, Blockade
President Mahdi Al-Mashat met, Monday, the United Nations Resident Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs “OCHA” in Yemen, William David Grisley.
During the meeting, they discussed the humanitarian situation in Yemen and aspects of cooperation with United Nations organizations in the humanitarian issue.
President Al-Mashat directed the government to overcome difficulties facing of the United Nations in order to enable it to perform its tasks. At the same time, he called on the United Nations to redouble efforts to alleviate the increasing humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people as a result of the continued US-Saudi aggression and blockade.
During the meeting, President Al-Mashat pointed out that the suffering of all Yemeni people as a result of the closure of Sana’a International Airport. Travelers are killed on the roads, their money is looted, and there are thousands of patients dying as a result of the airport closure.
