Fierce confrontations target over 31 people in Aden

bout 9 people were killed and over 22 others wounded, including two women, in violent confrontations on Wednesday in the city of Aden, south of Yemen, local sources said.
The sources affirmed that confrontations broke out between the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions in Sheikh Othman district.
The sources explained that the commander of the eighth sector of the “STC” militia, Akram al-Mashreqi, was wounded in the confrontations, in addition to the killing of a number of his bodyguards.
The clashes erupted between factions of the “security belt” affiliated with the Dhalea sons and the so-called “support and support” brigades, affiliated with the sons of Yefa, led by al-Mashashi, due to the arrest of some arms dealers loyal to one of the factions in Aden.
The confrontations caused also the major damage to the homes and property of citizens in the district, as well as to destroy military vehicles and burn the building of the Education Office.
