Interventions of Anti-Hunger Organization in Hajjah discussed
A meeting in Hajjah province was held Monday chaired by branch director of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs discussed topics related to the interventions of the Action Organization to Combat Hunger in the last period.
The meeting, which included the field coordinator of the Action Against Hunger Organization in Hajjah and Hodeida and directors of organizations in the council’s branch, reviewed the organization’s interventions in the last period.
The meeting touched upon the role of the organization to alleviate the suffering of the displaced and those affected by the current situation during the coming period.
Branch director Allan Dasha Tel stressed the necessity of increasing the organization’s interventions, keeping pace with the existing need, and activating the aspect of advocacy for the injustices of the Yemeni people to bring more grants and alleviate the suffering of the needy.
He noted the urgent and emergency needs of the districts of Washa and al-Jamemah in the water and environmental sanitation sector.
In turn, the field coordinator said the visit came in the context of strengthening coordination and partnership with the council branch, indicating the organization’s intention to implement its interventions in Hajjah.
He noted that work will be done on the advocacy side to obtain the required grants to cover some of the needs.
The field coordinator indicated the work is underway to provide projects in Abs and Aslam districts, as they are among the districts with priority for donors.
He stressed the need to raise the level of coordination and work according to a joint plan to assess the need in the province.
