FM: Yemen Will Not Accept Peace in Light of Ongoing Siege
Yemeni people cannot accept truce and peace arrangements in light of the ongoing siege, whose plans are managed by Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, under the supervision of London and Washington, the Foreign Minister in the Salvation Government Hisham Sharaf has said.
Sharaf’s remarks came at the opening of a special session on the protocol rules on Monday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Our hands are still outstretched to honorable and just peace, which takes into account the interests and dignity of the Yemeni people,” the Foreign Minister added.
Sharaf affirmed that “Yemen’s political, military and social steadfastness has thwarted all international goals and endeavors, which are biased towards the coalition of aggression, its crimes and its siege.”
He also explained the purpose of the international political movement on Yemen “aims, in one aspect, to show Saudi Arabia as a mediator and to absolve its regime of responsibility for the aggression against Yemen and its consequences, over a period of 7 years.”
Hisham Sharaf renewed the call for the necessity of separating the humanitarian aspect and the political and security ones. He indicated that “the airport, the port, food, medicine and oil derivatives are all fixed entitlements and they belong to the Yemeni people.”
