New mutation of Corona virus appeared in India

Haharashtra sandal authorities said 20 cases of a new sender of the rear of Corona virus were called the “Delta Plus” (B.1.617.2.1).

In a TV interview, Dr. TB Lahan, Head of the Directorate of Education and Medical Research, added: “We found Delta Plus in the cities of Navi Mumbai, Balgari and Ratnagiri. After that we sent more samples for analysis and we are waiting for reports on that.”
The Indian official stated that five cases of the new strain were recorded in the coastal city of Ratnagiri, during which no symptoms of the disease appeared in two of the infected people.

To prevent the spread of the new mutation, the authorities established containment areas and cordoned off areas where the mutation was found.
On October 5, 2020, the B.1.617 strain was discovered in the Indian state of Maharashtra, and recently this strain has appeared in many countries.

According to local doctors, this surge may be one of the causes of the second wave of coronavirus in India.

Previously, three subtypes of this strain were discovered – B.1.617.1, B.1.617.2 and B.1.617.3, and the new subtypes are characterized by the presence of a K417N mutation in the spike protein, which can reduce serum and antibody activity in people who contracted the disease and then vaccinated them. This strain was first discovered in Europe in March of this year.
