Humanitarian Affairs Council, WFP discuss joint cooperation

Head of the Single Window Department at the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation Hamza Al-Mukhtar met here on Monday with (WFP)’s Resident Representative Laurent Bukera.

During the meeting, they discussed the mutual cooperation and the mechanism of joint coordination to address the repercussions of the humanitarian disaster that the Yemeni people are going through.

In the meeting, Al-Mukhtar stressed the need to return the monthly aid provided by the program and expand its activities in order to alleviate the people’s humanitarian suffering as a result of the continuing aggression and blockade.

He emphasized the Supreme Council’s keenness to overcome the obstacles and facilitate all activities carried out by the humanitarian organizations in Yemen.
