President Al-Mashat calls on Yemeni parties to take absolute sides in Yemen
President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, called on all Yemeni parties to take absolute bias to Yemen for achieving hopes and aspirations of the great Yemeni people.
Al-Mashat also called on, in a statement marking the 31st anniversary of Yemeni unity, on May 22, the leadership of the coalition, represented by Saudi Arabia, to lift the siege on the Yemeni people and to seriously engage in discussions to stop the military and economic war, additional to end the military presence in lands and waters of Yemen.
Mr. President told the United Nations the full readiness by the Sanaa authorities to contribute effectively to achieving peace, with the need to separate the humanitarian aspect from other aspects.
Al-Mashat said that opening airports and ports, and ending the blockade is a pure right of the Yemeni people, and such issues should not be transformed as a card for a bargaining or a weapon to extract negotiation gains.
He indicated that the insistence on linking the humanitarian side with aspects of the military and political conflict is an incomprehensible act and would remain an obstacle way to achieve peace.
