SCMCHA distributes 1,450 food baskets in Capital

Branch of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the capital Sana’a has launched a project to distribute food baskets for people with disabilities and cases of incurable diseases.

Supported by a philanthropist in coordination with Direct Aid Organization,  the project aims to distribute 1,450 food baskets for the targeted cases in the blind care, challenge, and peace associations for the handicapped, thalassemia, and multiple sclerosis patients, al-Shafaq House,  and the National Cancer Control Foundation.

Supreme Council branch director Abdel Wahab Sharaf al-Din said the distributing came to alleviate the suffering of these groups and extend a hand to them, especially in light of the continuing aggression and siege.

He affirmed the Council’s keenness to provide humanitarian aid to various segments of society, as part of the council’s plan, praising the philanthropist’s support for the food baskets project.

Sharaf al-Din called on organizations, businessmen, and the well-to-do to support charitable and relief projects and activities to help various groups of society, especially in light of the current circumstances.
