YOC calls on UN not to ignore laws, humanitarian appeals
The Yemeni Oil Company (YOC) has called on the United Nations not to ignore the laws and humanitarian appeals, and to return to the Convention on the Law of the Sea that criminalizes piracy on ships of fuel, medicine and food.
The YOC’s employees, in their 756 day protest stand in front of the United Nations office in the capital Sana’a, denounced the silence of the United Nations towards the maritime piracy carried out by the US-Saudi aggression coalition which makes it a partner in the siege of the Yemeni people.
YOC official spokesman Essam al-Mutawakel explained the aggression is still holding 5 oil ships, all of them for public consumption, as 4 months have passed and no amount of gasoline has been released or entered since the beginning of 2021.
Al-Mutawakel held the aggression led by the United States and the United Nations fully responsible for the human suffering that the Yemeni people are subjected to due to the fuel crisis.
