Activists call on Hadi government to protect Yemeni patients in India

Activists on Facebook attacked Hadi government consulate in India, after it urged the Yemeni citizens not to bring gold and jewelry.

The activists mocked the call of “Hadi Government” consul Yahya Gawbar, through his Facebook page, in which he called on citizens to refrain from carrying gold and jewelry during their arrival in India, for the purpose of treatment or study.

Activists demanded that these instructions be accompanied by a visa application instead of Facebook posts that do not reach many people, and that the consulate should have an active role in protecting Yemenis who are scammed and defrauded by travel and translation offices.

Many Yemeni citizens in India are being scammed and robbed by offices and travel companies after arriving for treatment.
