3 women injured in attack on “ACTED” headquarters in Dhalea
At least three women were injured on Sunday when an unknown person threw a grenade at the headquarters of the French ACTED organization in Yemen’s southern city of Dhalea, which is controlled by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council’s militia.
Sources said that the attack targeted one of the headquarters’ halls, which led to the injuring of two girls while they were conducting employment interviews that the organization had announced earlier and another woman of the organization staff.
Armed groups had targeted five foreign organizations in the city of Dhalea, including the headquarters of each of Oxfam, Mercy Corps, Haya Center for Women Development, the Rescue Committee, and ACTED in late December of 2019.
