Training programs target “values and morals” of women in Mahrah
Local sources in Mahrah province, eastern Yemen, reported that foreign organizations are implementing programs that constitute as an illegal and against the moral customs and traditions of the people of the province.
A source familiar with the issue confirmed that foreign organizations fund training and rehabilitation programmes for coastal women in various fields.
In fact, however, it is a vilification of the values and inherent customs of a conservative Mahri society.
The source explained that among the programs is how to hold dance parties that target modesty among women and children.
The UAE and Saudi Arabia are trying to strike at the conservative Mahri society by implementing programs for organizations targeting women, to change their behavior and encourage them to break down customs and traditions under multiple names, including soft warfare.
