Over 2000 trucks loaded with food in Hodeidah are stuck due to lack of fuel: Ministry of Transport

The Ministry of Transport stated that Yemen is currently suffering from the suspension of road transport due to the continued blockade of oil derivatives imposed by Saudi-led coalition forces.

The ministry indicated that more than 2000 locomotives loaded with foodstuffs are stuck in Al-Salif in Hodeidah governorate due to the lack of oil derivatives, and this causes a humanitarian disaster.

The Ministry warned of the dire consequences of seizing oil derivatives and preventing fuel to get into Hodeidah port.

As UN reports continue to warn of the worsening humanitarian and economic situation in Yemen, because of the military war and economic blockades imposed on Yemen over the past six years by Saudi-led Coalition Navy forces off the Red Sea port of Jizan, however, the United Nations ignores the practices of piracy and the detention of food, medicine and fuel supplies.

They prevented their entry into the port of Hodeidah, despite the fact that the UN body itself has supervised the granting of permits to ships carrying supplies to the Yemeni people.
