World exceeds 90 million cases of corona
The American “Johns Hopkins” University confirmed that the death toll from confirmed infections with the emerging corona virus worldwide has exceeded, during the past 24 hours, the threshold of 90 million.
According to the latest figures published on the university’s website, which relies in its statistics on data from official bodies and open sources, around the world 90 million and 5787 confirmed cases of the coronavirus that causes Covid-19 have so far been recorded, including one million 931382 deaths, 49 million and 885280 recovered cases.
The United States maintains the “lead” by a wide margin in the list of the largest corona outbreaks in the world, with more than 22.25 million injuries, followed by India (10.45 million injuries), Brazil (8.07 million injuries), Russia (3.36 million injuries) and Britain (3.08 million injuries).
The United States also tops the list of countries most affected by infection in terms of the number of deaths, with more than 373 thousand deaths, followed by Brazil (more than 202 thousand deaths), India (about 151 thousand deaths), Mexico (133 thousand deaths) and Britain (more than 81 thousand deaths).
