Ship carrying more than 29,000 tons of gasoline arrives at Hodeida port
The Yemen Oil Company (YOC) announced on Friday the arrival of a “Baxter” ship carrying 29,475 tons of gasoline to the port of Hodeida, after being arbitrarily detained by the aggression for 104 days.
The YOC said in a statement received by Saba that the total fines accumulated on the ship for its detention amounted to $2.288,000.
The statement explained that the laboratory testing procedures are currently being completed to ensure that the ship’s cargo conforms to the approved specifications so that the unloading process can begin.
It noted that the aggression is still holding nine oil derivatives ships with a maximum detention period of more than 262 days of unprecedented maritime piracy despite receiving entry permits from the United Nations.
