Yemen, ICRC discuss health interventions

The branch director of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (SCMCHA) in Hajjah has discussed with the health coordinator of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Sa’ada the ICRC’s health interventions

 

Allan Fadhael and the ICRC health coordinator reviewed the ICRC’s health interventions at the dialysis center at al-Jumhori Hospital Authority and ICRC’s intervention at Yemen Red Crescent Society Branch in Abs district in a way that contributes to alleviating the suffering of the displaced and affected.

 

Fadhael stressed the importance of expanding the circle of cooperation and support provided to the dialysis center, as it is the only center in the province that provides services to dialysis patients and as also other patients coming to it from more than one neighboring provinces.

 

He referred to the suffering of the sick and displaced due to the continuing status quo, appreciating the efforts of the ICRC in the health aspect.

 

For her part, the ICRC health coordinator noted that the visit aims to follow up on the previous ICRC activities and identify the needs the hospital needs, hailing the facilities provided by the SCMCHA to the ICRC health activities.
