Lahj witnesses total civil disobedience, in protest against collapse of currency
The city of Al-Houta, the capital of Lahj Governorate, in southern Yemen, witnessed, on Sunday, a total civil disobedience, in protest against the collapse of the currency.
Local sources reported that all shops have closed in protest against the collapse of the riyal in front of foreign currencies.
Traders demanded the need to work to take urgent measures to prevent the collapse of the currency.
The price of one dollar reached nearly 900 riyals in the areas under the control of the coalition, while 600 riyals were stabilized in the areas under the control of the Yemeni Salvation Government.
