SCMCHA secretary general meets head of ICRC

Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (SCMCHA) met here on Saturday with the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross delegation (ICRC) to Yemen.

Abdulmohsen Tawoos and Katharina Ritz discussed the ICRC activities in Yemen, particularly humanitarian and medical interventions and the ICRC’s medical priorities interventions in the coming year.

Tawoos stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between the SCMCHA and the ICRC, stressing the SCMCHA is keen to facilitate the work of the organization in order to overcome the difficulties that it may encounter in carrying out the tasks assigned to it.

On her part,  Mrs. Ritz affirmed that she will spare no effort in alleviating the humanitarian crisis that the Yemeni people are going through.
