HCRF, QRCS to perform operations to hydrocephalus patients
Handicap Care and Rehabilitation Fund (HCRF) in partnership with the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) launched a project to treat hydrocephalus patients.
The project aims to perform 1,000 operations to implant cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) shunt to children suffering from hydrocephalus.
The QRCS has contributed an amount of $300,000 to the project and HCRF would bear the costs of the operations and the required physical exams estimated at YR 300 million, said the HCRF deputy executive director Othman al-Selwi.
