Pakistan: Dozens of people killed, injured in explosion in Peshawar
Media reported that at least seven people were killed, and dozens wounded, including children, as a result of an explosion targeting a religious school in the city of Peshawar, western Pakistan on Tuesday.
“The explosion took place in a school where unidentified persons planted explosives in a plastic bag,” a police official was quoted by Reuters as saying.
The official added that among the dead were children.
For his part, a spokesman for the “Lady Reading” hospital near the site of the accident said that the hospital received seven dead and 70 wounded, many of whom were burned by the explosion.
