Iran accuses Saudi Arabia of abandoning its prestige, resources to U.S.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Saeed Khatibzadeh, accused on Wednesday the ruling regime in Saudi Arabia of abandoning the kingdom’s prestige and its resources in favor of the administration of U.S. President, Donald Trump.
“Unfortunately, Riyadh has given a lot of its prestige and resources to the Trump administration and has taken the wrong path in provoking war, bloodshed, and imposing a blockade on countries in the region,” the spokesman said.
Zadeh expressed his country’s readiness to open its arms if Riyadh took the decision to reduce tensions in the region.
He added, in an exclusive interview with “Sputnik”, that Tehran would be always ready to tackle the problems with Riyadh through direct dialogue.
