Sharp rise in daily Coronavirus cases in UK
The UK Department of Health announced on Monday that it recorded 18,804 new cases and 80 new deaths of the coronavirus (COVID-19), up from Sunday’s data.
In a new statistic, Department of Health show the daily number of infections has risen 34.6 per cent in a week, up from the 13,972 cases declared last Monday.
But the scale of the second wave is still a far-cry from the darkest days of the spring, when at least 100,000 Britons were catching the virus every day.
The department reported that the number of cases recorded in the UK in the uk in the past 24 hours had risen by 18,804, reaching 741,212.
This figure indicates a steady rise in the country’s daily casualty index, which in the data of October 16, 15,650 cases, on October 17, 16171, and on October 18, 16982.
It added that it had detected 80 new deaths from the disease, bringing the number of pandemic victims in the country to 43,726.
In recent weeks, Britain has seen sharp increases in the index of daily infections, prompting the country’s authorities to impose new restrictions, including working from home as much as possible, closing bars and restaurants earlier, and may last for six months in order to cope with a second rapidly spreading disease.
