SCMCHA, UNHCR discuss mutual cooperation

The Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation (SCMCHA) and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) discussed here on Sunday aspects of mutual cooperation.

During their meeting, SCMCHA Secretary-General Abdul Mohsen Tawoos and UNHCR Resident Representative John Nicholas discussed possible ways to coordinate the joint action mechanisms.

Tawoos praised the UNHCR’s activities in the country, stressing the SCMCHA’s willingness to overcome any difficulties that obstruct its activities.

Nicholas confirmed UNHCR’s commitment to cooperate and coordinate with the Council and to make every effort to maintain the common coordination frameworks, hailing the SCMCHA’s efforts to facilitate the humanitarian organizations operations in Yemen.
