Violent explosion rocks security department in Aden
A violent explosion rocked Monday evening the headquarters of the Security Administration in the southern port city of Aden, which is under the control of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias.
Eyewitnesses in the city reported that they heard the sound of an explosion caused by an explosive device near Aden’s security administration headquarters in Khormaksar area.
They added that they saw smoke billowing from the site of the explosion, without referring to losses resulting from the blast.
This comes after “Shallal al-Shaya”, a leader of the STC, handed over the security administration to Ahmed Muhammad al-Hamedi, who was recently appointed from Riyadh as general director of Aden security.
