The local authority in Hodeidah governorate strongly condemned the escalation by the aggression on the besieged Ad-Durayhimi district for more than two years, in a flagrant violation of the Stockholm Agreement amid silence of the UN and international organizations.
On Wednesday evening, it explained, in a statement, that the aggression mercenaries launched a massive two-lane creep, accompanied by intense missile and artillery shelling on the city of Ad-Durayhimi, injuring a number of civilians and destroying a large number of homes.
The local authority indicated that the aggression’s continued targeting of the city, is considered a flagrant violation of Stockholm agreement, and represents a genocide for the besieged, who have been under siege for two years in full view of the United Nations and its representatives.
The statement pointed out that the aggression mercenaries deliberately targeted the city of Hodeidah during the past two days, killing and injuring a number of women and children.
The statement said, “We were hoping that the international organizations would press to open humanitarian corridors according to Stockholm agreement. However, hope was dispelled due to the continued escalation of the aggression and the silence of the United Nations and the international community for the aggressions’ crimes against the besieged people of Ad-Durayhimi. “
