Yemen’s Abyan faces unprecedented invasion
Yemen’s southern province of Abyan was subjected on Wednesday evening to a massive invasion that had not been witnessed before, which foreshadows a verified disaster, according to local sources.
“Large waves of locusts spread in the central areas of the province,” said a local source.
He indicated that swarms of locusts attacked farmers’ crops in ‘Al-Wadea’, ‘Modiyah’ and ‘Lawdar’ districts.
The fields in those districts were filled with the color of locusts, which destroyed most of the crops there.
