Yemen Telecom Corporation Employees Condemn Detaining Oil Ships
Employees of Yemen Telecom corporation organized a protest in front of the UN Office in Hodiedah, condemning detention of Oil ships by US-Saudi aggression. The participants called on the UN to take a clear position towards the practices of US-Saudi aggression in harming the Yemeni People through their blockade and the continued detention of oil derivative ships.
They condemned the UN and humanitarian organizations’ silence toward the aggression and siege, that foreshadows the humanitarian catastrophe in Yemen. The protesters considered the detention of oil derivative ships an escalatory measure that requires the United Nations to take a strict stance toward it. The continuation of services in all service and economic sectors, including the telecommunications and postal sector, is dependent on Oil. It will lead to stopping all activities.
A statement issued by the stand called on the international community and human rights organizations to take serious steps to pressure the coalition to allow entry of oil derivatives. It held the aggression responsible for the the systematic destruction of the economic and service infrastructure in Yemen.
