Fisheries Ministry decide sale aquatic organisms in landing centers

The Ministry of Fisheries decided on Saturday the sale of aquatic organisms in fish landing centers and sites for sale in public auction.

The minister affirmed in a statement that the decision came in accordance with the Fishing Law of 2006.
The Ministry also decided to prevent fishing shrimp in the lagoons and sensitive environments, as they are nursery areas for young shrimp and many marine life.

The statement announced the opening of the coastal shrimp harvest season in the Red Sea region from the marine waters of Yemen, starting the next September.
