Saudi-led coalition wages 20 airstrikes on residential neighborhoods in capital Sanaa
The US-backed Saudi-led coalition warplanes carried out more than 20 air raids on Wednesday evening on the capital Sanaa, targeting civilian and residential neighborhoods, leaving injuries and heavy material casualties, a security official said.
According to the official, the coalition air forces conducted two airstrikes targeting a hanger for household items in the Sa’awan area of the capital Sanaa.
Moreover, Saudi airstrikes hit a warehouse for tire storage in Thahban area of Bani al-Harith district in Sanaa province, causing a huge fire.
The coalition waged two airstrikes on Thahban and two others on Hataresh area of Bani al-Harith district, as well as two airstrikes on al-Nahadein in Sabeen district.
Three Saudi airstrikes were waged on the maintenance area in Al-Thawra district and another on al-Hataresh area of Bani al-Harith district.
The official said that a number of citizens were injured as a result of coalition raids on the capital Sanaa as well as damage to dozens of houses.
Earlier on Wednesday, the coalition warplanes waged 11 airstrikes on the capital, Sanaa, five of which on Sanaa International Airport, two on al-Hafa area, two others on al-Nahdein area, one on Noqom area, and another on the College of Engineering in Shaoub district.
The coalition launched four airstrikes with flash bombs on al-Haimah al-Kharijiyah district, two on Arhab district and two others on Sanhan district of Sanaa province.
