160 Tons Of Expired Foodstuffs Destroyed In Sanaa
he Public Works Office in the capital Sanaa on Monday destroyed 160 tons of moldy foodstuffs that are unfit for human consumption, which were seized in markets and merchants stores in the capital.
Director of the Public Works Office Abdulsalam al-Jaradi explained that the quantity that was destroyed included juices, various soft drinks, cooking oils, dates, milk, cheese and other expired materials.
Al-Jaradi called on citizens to cooperate with the environmental health inspectors by reporting any expired food materials on the operating room’s telephone number 277038 or the toll-free number 8002727.
