Saudi Arabia, UAE Bear Responsibility for Spreading Epidemics in Aden

Al-Hassani, a journalist activist, told Al-Alam TV that “protest in Aden city are demanding Saudi Arabia to stop air flights to Aden International Airport, as a necessary step to limit the spread of Coronavirus.” Saudi Arabia and all Persian Gulf countries suffer a wide spread of the virus and Aden city should not be receiving any people from these countries.

He continued, “these flights, which began abnormally, by opening multiple ports after their closure for a long time, contributed to spreading the epidemic in the city of Aden. Saudi Arabia has transported travelers and anyone who wants to move to Yemen without being subject to quarantine or medical precautions, in violation of international laws.”

Al-Hassani added that “in the face of this behavior, the medical staff in Aden did not have the means to confront COVI-19. They don’t have much in empty hospitals? Hospitals lack capabilities, and no one in Aden is willing to help equipping hospitals. What do they do in this case?”

Al-Hassani confirmed that Saudi Arabia and the UAE are the first to bear responsibility for the spread of COVID-19 in Southern Yemen. The mercenaries working for the US-Saudi aggression, such as the Transitional Council are also responsible for a big part of the suffering the people in Adan. He pointed out that the city of Aden was subjected to several epidemics as a result of the Saudi occubation in Aden.
