1891 Coronavirus Deaths in US, 24 Hours

In the United States saw 1,891 deaths recorded during the past 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths in the country Saturday to 38,664, according to the Johns Hopkins University census.

The University indicated that the number of HIV infections in the country reached 732,197 since the epidemic began.

From New Hampshire to California, through Texas and Ohio, protesters, who were mostly supporters of US President Donald Trump, demanded on Saturday, the end of quarantine measures imposed to contain the emerging Coronavirus.

Trump had showed his support to protesters protesting quarantine orders, saying that some state governors had “gone too far” in quarantine measures, at a time when the United States had become the world’s largest epicenter of the Covid-19 epidemic.

According to Agence France-Presse in Annapolis, Maryland, about 200 people demonstrate in their cars in front of the local parliament. One of the signs reads “Poverty also kills”, and on another banner “I will not obey unlawful decrees.”

In Austin, the capital of Texas, Republican Governor Greg Abbott announced the reopening of parks and some activities on Monday, and about 250 protesters answered an invitation to demonstrate by officials of the far-right “Info Wars” website, who were not interested in the rules of social distance. Their slogans especially condemned the “economic collapse” resulting from the cessation of all “unnecessary” activities.
