SCMCHA Holds WFB for the consequences of reducing Aid to Yemen
the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs put the responsibility of the humanitarian consequences -of the decision to reduce aid- on the WFP and Donors, stressing that the decision of the World Food Program to reduce aid is a coup against the signed agreement.
The Supreme Council also hold the World Food Program responsible for diverting the path of humanitarian action in Yemen to the path of blackmail and political incitement. The Council rejected the decision of the World Food Program to reduce humanitarian aid, noting that the decision to reduce aid is a pressure card used by aggression countries to tighten the screws on the people in parallel with the escalation of the enemy in the field.
The Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs called on the Food Program to submit a detailed financial report of what donors have provided to help the Yemeni People, advising the Food Program to review and evaluate the agreement.
The Supreme Council affirmed that they continue to provide all services and facilities related to humanitarian work in Yemen.
