Two Canadian organizations protest to remind world of Yemen tragedy
Despite the Coronavirus crisis that has spread in Canada and around the world, the Canadian Defender for Human Rights CD4HR, in cooperation with another human rights organization, organized a protest to remind the Canadian government of the Yemeni people’s misery, in light of the aggression against Yemen.
The two organizations said, in a statement: “With all the preventive measures that are taken to reduce the infection by Coronavirus, we went out on the anniversary of the beginning of the Saudi aggression against Yemen, which entered its sixth year, to express rejection of this brutal aggression that targets the besieged Yemeni people.
The two organizations renewed their request to the Canadian government to stop selling arms to Saudi Arabia, which are used to target Yemeni infrastructure and the defenseless Yemeni people, especially women and children.
