China announces recovery of 67,000 patients with coronavirus
China on Monday announced that death toll from the new coronavirus (Covid-19)at the country’s 3,213, after 14 new death cases were reported in the past 24 hours, while nearly 67,000 cases have recovered after treatment.
“The State Health Commission on Monday received data from 31 provinces confirming that on 16 March 14 new cases of the virus were registered, bringing the number of people infected to 80,860, 14 people dead with the virus to 3,213, and nearly 67.7,000 cases recovered following treatment,” the National Health Commission of China said in a statement.
The statement noted that there are currently 9,898 people who are ill (3,032 in serious condition).
The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Sunday evening that some 11,000 new cases of the new coronavirus had been reported in the last 24 hours worldwide, with 343 people dead.
The new outbreak of the coronavirus has caused further “closures” around the world, while the number of people living with HIV has exceeded all expectations.
Most countries have taken swift economic action to address the impact of the coronavirus on different sectors.
