Human Rights Minister Briefed the UN Deputy Representative of the High Commissioner on the Humanitarian Situation in Hodeidah
The Minister of Human Rights, Radhia Abdullah, briefed Deputy Resident Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Hodeidah governorate, especially Addurayhimi district, and the genocide committed by the coalition against civilians in the district, using prohibited weapons in a flagrant violation of all International and Humanitarian laws.
This came during the meeting held Thursday to discuss the relationship of joint cooperation and aspects related to the support of the UNHCR office in Sana’a and the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, so that it can play its role, especially in light of the difficult circumstances that Yemen is going through as a result of the aggression, in the presence of the Chargé d’Affairs Abeer Jamal Kharbasha.
The Minister touched on the suffering of the Yemeni students and their families in China, due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, in light of the failure of the so-called legitimate government to take any measure to help their return with their families.
She emphasized that the closure of Sana’a International Airport is the main reason why the National Salvation Government was unable to evacuate students and their families from China.
In turn, Kharbasha stressed keenness to establish a relationship of partnership and cooperation with the Ministry of Human Rights, wishing that peace will prevail in Yemen and return to better than it was before March 2015.
