Int’l organizations’ humanitarian activities in Yemen discussed

Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation Abdelmohsen Tawoos on Monday discussed with a number of international organizations the projects they implemented during the past period.
The meeting, which included representatives of the Islamic Relief Organization, the Child Welfare Organization, Oxfam, CARE, and the Danish Council, reviewed the organizations’ interventions, activities and programs implemented in relief and development field.
In the meeting, Tawoos said that the coming stage requires doubling efforts, developing the performance of humanitarian programs, and expanding the geographical scope targeted by the organizations to contribute to alleviating the suffering of citizens.
He confirmed that the Council would make all efforts to overcome the difficulties facing the organizations work, calling on the organizations to raise the level of their humanitarian activities according to the needs plan.
