HIV/AIDS outbreak among coalition militants in Marib

A medical source in Marib province controlled by Islah militias (Yemeni Branch of Muslim brotherhood) on Tuesday revealed the spread of tHE AIDS virus in coalition soldiers in the province.

Dr. Abdulaziz al-Shaddadi, director of the Health Bureau in Marib confirmed that two soldiers went to donate blood in a private hospital, but tests proved that they were infected with HIV/AIDS.

A military force prevented the hospital administration from holding the soldiers, he added.

The health office asked the commander of the camp to which the two soldiers who are infected with AIDS, belong, to take the necessary measures with the them, but the camp commander’s office did not respond to the health office’s request.

Al-Shaddadi said coalition camps in Marib, “eastern Yemen”, are full of dozens of recruits of African nationalities.
