Minister of Human Rights: We Mourn the World Silence over Crimes of US-Saudi coalition in Yemen
Human Rights Minister Alia Faisal Abdullatif called on the international community and concerned international organizations to have an honourable attitude triumphs for humanity and man in Yemen.
According to Saba News Agency, the Minister of Human Rights said in a statement that the ministry will celebrate this year the International Human Rights Day, December 10, commensurate with the humanitarian conditions experienced by Yemenis in light of the continued war and siege and the spread of epidemic diseases that kill them.
She deplored the disregard for international laws and resolutions relating to the protection of human beings and the staggering statistics of these violations, including murder, starvation, displacement and all the inhuman practices of the countries of coalition against Yemen.
“We appreciate the world ‘s observance of the International Human Rights Day,” she said. “We mourn the silence of the world and the international organizations concerned for all crimes against humanity, that the coalition countries led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE are behind.”
Yemenis are dying from lack of medicine and more than 20 million people need food assistance after they have fallen below the poverty line, she said.
