The city of Aden has witnessed a series of assassinations carried out by tools loyal to Saudi-Emirati occupation.
Local sources reported on Monday that a construction material dealer was shot dead by unidentified gunmen on Monday afternoon.
According to the sources, unknown two gunmen on a motorbike fired live bullets at the owner of the shops “Beit al-Dahan”, Mohsen al-Bayti, in the al-Sala neighborhood of Sheikh Othman district, killing him instantly
The two gunmen fled the scene, one of the sources said.
On the same day, two unidentified gunmen assassinated a young man, Louay Abu Sara, in the same district.
On Sunday, unknown gunmen killed a security official in the southern port city of Aden, sources said.
Unidentified gunmen opened fire at director of Mansoura criminal investigation department, local and security sources said,
The assassination took place when Major Salah Hajiri was in front of his house in Block 37 in Mansoura district.
The major was taken to Saber Hospital, in the nearby, where he died, according to the sources.
On 25 January, Hajiri escaped an attempted assassination, when an explosive device was planted in his car.
Assassinations have returned at a high pace to Aden, and the rest of the southern provinces, since Saudi forces took over Aden, following the withdrawal of UAE forces, which have been in control since the end of 2015.
During these years, Aden has witnessed assassinations, abductions and enforced disappearances, and the city remains the victim of unprecedented insecurity amid the tensions between the coalition forces – Saudi Arabia and the UAE, which seek to ensure their interests only, and the bill for that failure is paid solely by the people of Aden, observers say.
