The Head of the United Nations mission for Coordination Committee for the Redeployment in Hodeidah, Abhijit Guha, said that the increase in the number of airstrikes of the Saudi-led coalition during the past 72 hours, is contradictory to relative calm following the establishment of observation posts
“The increase in the number of air strikes carried out over the past 72 hours, is clearly against the relative calm experienced in the region following the establishment of checkpoints,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.
Abhijit Guha expressed concern over the repercussions of the airstrikes on Hodeidah.
He said “the airstrikes threaten the safety of members of the Coordination Committee”, the body responsible for monitoring the ceasefire.
